Hello friends, I just returned from a much needed rest in the Caribbean and wanted to share a few thoughts I had about this trip; or more importantly, what I learned FROM this trip. It's amazing what happens when you don't have access to phone, email, or the other "leashes" we choose to subscribe to! Here's to making each new day a vacation!
What I Learned on Vacation
When the waters are blue
And the sands glow so white
And the sun reaches down
To give of its light.
And I sit and I wonder
I ponder and pray;
And I dream and envision
A day like today.
When the world stops to listen
To smell, touch and taste
And people remember
To move with His grace.
And laughter and love
Encircle each heart
And giving is getting
And brings a new start.
The world moves much slower
And more people care;
About what really matters
And how they can share.
And boundaries are lowered
And friendships are made
And twilight discovers
That Light never fades.
When home you have traveled
Remember the Son
And feel of His warmth
And the glory He won.
For you, child of Heaven
In the cold, gray and bleak
The Son never falters
Your suffering He’ll meet.
Relax in His caring
And let the world go
A vacationers paradise –
That you already know.
