This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 08, 2007:
The guidance of Spirit.
"I bid him look into the lives of men as though into a mirror, and from others to take an example for himself." - Terence
You have created your world, and everything in it is literally a direct reflection of how you perceive that deepest part of you. Look around. The people, the events, the situations - the trials, the joys - they are all a mirror image of your soul. Look at them from this perspective and hold the question in your mind, "What are you hear to teach me?" Problems aren't really problems, but opportunities to go inside and heal. If you weren't ready to do this, you wouldn't have attracted this situation into your life. Recognize it for the gift that it is.
As an example, if you have attracted someone who has been unfaithful to you; perhaps you have not been living your truth. If you do not honor yourself, you attract others who do not honor you. If you are struggling financially, you may be mirroring deep feelings of unworthiness. By the same token, when you do this exercise, make sure that you notice how many wonderful people you have in your life. You did that. You attracted those beautiful souls to you.
The mirror is also a useful tool to recognize that we are all connected. The people in your life were attracted to you, but you were also attracted to them. Our energy is woven together in a vast network that does not end. Each and every living thing is a part of you. Nurture it. Love it. And it all comes back to you. It's the great boomerang of life. What you give, you will also receive.
Never forget that we are all here to grow and develop, but it is important that we not lose sight of our own divine natures. You are magnificent, worthy of all the peace, joy, and happiness there is. But most of all - when you look in that mirror, remember that you are loved!
