Mental Magic

Pssst!  I have something to tell you...you're magic.  Oh, don't worry, your neighbor is too.  Is that a shock to you?  It is to most people.  We're all magic, you know.  Only most of us forget and spend our lives in ordinary ways, doing ordinary things; and all that wonderful power to be a hands down, full-out, totally cosmic magician extraordinaire just sits dormant under the surface.  So now that you know, what are you going to do about it?  Maybe get a fabulous house or zap yourself to a warm, sunny beach where there were no cell phones, laptops, or pagers?  I know; you'd poof your way to that hot body you've been dreaming about, or maybe print a little extra cash in the basement?  Cool, huh?  What if I told you that you may not be able to wiggle your nose and make things appear, but you do have more power in the six inches between your two ears than you could possibly imagine?  It's true.  In fact, you have more power than the entire Justice League - and you're not allergic to Kryptonite!


Henry David Thoreau said, "I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavor."  When you understand the Laws of the Universe, you garner the power to change your life; however, power without action is wasted.  Your part of the equation is to begin with the Principle of Mentalism - which is an understanding that the Universe was created by thought; which is energy, and you are also energy and are connected to that source power, which enables you to create by the power of your thoughts.  We refer to this ability as deliberate intention or the power to manifest.  I know - big concept!  In a nutshell, when you learn how to "connect" to that source power; i.e. you "plug in" to the energy of the Universe, you will be able to make magic happen.


So you have power.  Great.  Now what?  Well, as most great magicians will tell you; magic isn't really a "trick", it's an understanding of certain principles that create what people believe is magic.  The Laws of the Universe are sure and they are unchanging; however, when you understand what they are and how they work, you can consciously apply them to bring about the magic in your own life.  Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said, "Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth - that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves, too."


Have you ever heard the saying, "the only constant is change"?  It's actually true.  The Universe is constantly evolving and changing, and you, as a part of the Universe are also constantly evolving and changing.  Think about it this way; let's pretend that you are the Universe.  I know - that's even better than being magic!  No matter how many books you read or how many Twinkies you eat, you don't ever have to worry that your physical brain will outgrow your skull.  The actual size and shape of your brain does not expand; however, what is inside the brain, is constantly growing and changing.  That's how it works with the Universe.  The source of energy does not change, but the things that it is applied to in the Universe do change.  The key here is to really understand that you are energy.  Another word for energy is power; and your power lies in your thoughts and in your feelings.  When you consciously decide what it is you want in your life; you have picked up the scepter of power and can begin to magically transform your life.

Here's a few steps to help get you started:


10 Steps to Magically Transform Your Life

 

1.  Decide.  What is truly important for you to feel successful?  Write it down.

2.  Music.  Surround yourself with good music to lift your mood and help you create.

3.  Nature.  Look at the earth as a classroom.  Spend time outdoors daily.

4.  Meditate.  Learning to quiet the mind is extremely important to find balance.

5.  Read.  Build your mind with great books that will enlighten and inspire you.

6.  Exercise.  Take care of your body so that your energy is at its peak.

7.  Service.  The fastest way to feel good is to help someone else.

8.  Healing.  Rest.  Write in a journal.  Identify where you need healing and do it.

9.  Friends.  Find good friends and be a good friend.  Remember to laugh!

10.Love.  It really does make the world go around.  Show gratitude daily.


Keep practicing and you'll be in that fancy house or lying on that beautiful beach - with that incredible body - in no time!
